Company Established by Mrs Elizabeth Scannell
1969
The firm was established by Mrs Elizabeth Scannell in 1969 and was originally known as Scannell & Co. Initially working from home, Mrs Scannell went on to open two offices, one in Shenfield and the second in Stanford-le-Hope, during which time she also took over the firms of Oliver Dimdore and the Shenfield office of Hunt & Hunt.
Paula Evans becomes a partner
2007
On 1 August 2007, I became a Partner and the name of the firm was changed to Scannell Evans.
Elizabeth Scannell retired
2008
Elizabeth Scannell retired on 30th September 2008 at which time I took over. I cannot believe that is now over ten years ago!
Incorporated Shaen Roscoe & Swift
2009
In October 2009, Scannell Evans incorporated another local firm of Solicitors, Shaen Roscoe & Swift, on the retirement of the Principal of this firm, Mr Godwin Swift, who was honoured by the Law Society for 50 years of service.
Name changed to Paula Day Solicitors
2016
I got married and the name of the firm was changed to Paula Day Solicitors in December 2016.
