History of the Firm
The firm Scannell Evans was established by Mrs Elizabeth Scannell in 1969 and was originally known as Scannell & Co. Initially working from home, Mrs Scannell went on to open two offices, one in Shenfield and the second in Stanford-le-Hope, during which time she also took over the firms of Oliver Dimdore and the Shenfield office of Hunt & Hunt.
On the 1st August 2007, Mrs Paula Evans became a Partner and the name of the firm was changed to Scannell Evans.
Elizabeth Scannell retired on the 30th September 2008 and the firm is now run by Paula Evans.
In October 2009, Scannell Evans incorporated another local firm of Solicitors, Shaen Roscoe & Swift, on the retirement of the principal of this firm Mr Godwin Swift, who was honoured by the Law Society for 50 year of service.
